Homemade Worcestershire Sauce

It is incredibly simple and quick to whip up a batch of homemade Worcestershire sauce at home. It requires some staple ingredients and 10 minutes of your time, and that's it!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup molasses
  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • tablespoons fish sauce
  • 2 teaspoons freshly ground black pepper
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 teaspoons onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon chilli powder
  • ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon, or ground cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 lime , juice only of lime

Instructions

  • In a small saucepan, mix ingredients together and bring to a boil.
  • Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and pour into a blender.
  • Blend until smooth.
  • Store in a bottle or covered bowl in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.

Notes

  • To make it sweeter, increase the amounts of molasses or honey.
  • To make it spicier, add more chilli powder, or even pour in a teaspoon of sriracha.
  • To make it sour, increase the vinegar.
